2017 Great Plains Contract Training Steward Camp
New and seasoned stewards from locals and members at large are encouraged to attend the 2017 Great Plains Steward Camp hosted by the Omaha Area Local, APWU.

The steward camp offers the following:
- Handling Grievances at Step 1 and Step 2
- Grievance Investigation, Presentation and Appeals
- Grievance Administration and Case Development
- Introduction to Arbitration
- Identifying and Framing Issues
- Exhibits and Stipulations
- Opening and Closing Statements
- Direct and Cross Examinations
- Closing Arguments (Oral and Written)
(Advanced training attendees will need a recommendation letter from their Local or State President - final determination will be made by the instructors.)
Training is conducted in an interactive class room setting, during breakouts, with peer collaboration and in one on one meetings with instructors.
There will be daily assignments, review of work and evening assignments.
This week long training offers an environment to prepare a new generation of stewards, develop seasoned veterans and cultivate new advocates for arbitration.

Cost: $550 includes Lodging, Materials, and Meals.
Lodging: Scott Hall (click on link for video of Scott Hall)- pods consist of 4 single bedrooms with shared restrooms and living area. Pods will not be co-ed. Couples may contact Christine Pruitt for possible options.
